REshape Minds Therapy Services

Healing, Growth, and Connection

At REshape Minds, we believe that healing and growth are possible for everyone, especially those impacted by incarceration. Our therapy services are designed to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your story, build resilience, and reconnect with yourself and others. Led by experienced, trauma-informed clinicians, we offer both individual and group counseling for mental health and substance use.

REshape Minds Modalities

modality in therapy refers to a specific method or approach used by mental health professionals to help people address emotional, behavioral, or psychological challenges. Each modality is based on certain theories and techniques for understanding and treating mental health concerns.

I

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a type of therapy that teaches practical skills to help you manage difficult emotions, handle stress in healthy ways, and improve your relationships. It focuses on four main areas: being mindful in the present moment, regulating emotions, tolerating distress, and communicating effectively with others.

I

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. By identifying unhelpful patterns in your thinking, you can learn new ways to respond to challenges, reduce negative emotions, and make positive changes in your life.

I

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a conversational approach that helps you explore your own reasons for wanting to change. Instead of telling you what to do, the therapist works with you to build motivation and confidence, supporting you as you set and achieve your own goals.

I

Substance Use Counseling

Our substance use counseling services provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for individuals experiencing challenges related to substance use or dependency. Through clinical assessment, motivational interviewing, and structured therapeutic interventions, we address the psychological, behavioral, and environmental factors contributing to use patterns.

I

Crisis Intervention

Crisis intervention provides immediate support during times of intense stress or emotional crisis. The goal is to help you feel safe, stabilize your emotions, and connect you with resources or ongoing care so you can move forward from the crisis.

I

Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma-informed care means that your therapist understands how past trauma can affect your feelings, behaviors, and health. This approach creates a safe, respectful environment where you won’t be judged, and where your experiences are recognized and honored as part of your healing journey.

My name is Jamie Williams and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addiction Counselor. I have over 3,000 hours of clinical experience with individuals who have experienced trauma, substance use, and incarceration.

Everyone has a story, and no story is the same.  As humans, we need a space to “just be” before we can make change.

According to SAMSHA there are 8 dimensions of “Wellness” that contribute to the “holistic approach.” They are:

  • Environmental
  • Intellectual
  • Emotional
  • Physical
  • Financial
  • Spiritual
  • Social
  • Occupational

As a therapist, I believe all of our experiences within our lives play a role in our mental health and lack of connection of the self.

I utilize DBT techniques to assist with the connection to the self, connection of others, and connection with something “greater” than us. I utilize the 4 components of DBT that consist of mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I am also certified in MRT for individuals who are in need of more support post-incarceration.

As humans, we deserve the right of connection, understanding, and living life instead of merely surviving. If this resonates with you, please reach out for a consultation
